My name is Godfrey Mwania, and I want to share with you my incredible story of how I overcame poverty, tragedy, and mockery to become a successful actuary in Nairobi.
I hope that my story will inspire you to never give up on your dreams, no matter how hard life gets.I was born in Kitengela, a small town in Kajiado County, where I lived with my parents and two siblings. We were not rich, but we were happy.
My parents were hardworking farmers who loved us and taught us the value of education. They always encouraged us to study hard and pursue our goals. However, everything changed in 2007, when the post-election violence erupted in Kenya.
My parents were among the thousands of innocent people who were killed by the mobs. I was only 12 years old then, and I witnessed the horror of losing my parents in front of my eyes. My siblings and I were left alone, with no one to take care of us.
We had to fend for ourselves, and survive on the streets.Life was tough, but I did not give up on my education. I enrolled in a nearby day school, where I studied hard and excelled in my exams. I managed to score an A- in my KCSE, despite the challenges I faced. I was determined to make my parents proud, and to achieve my dream of becoming an actuary.
I applied for a scholarship to study actuarial science at the University of Nairobi, and I was lucky to get it. I was overjoyed, but I also knew that the scholarship was not enough to cover all my expenses. I had to find a way to pay for my accommodation, food, transport, and other needs.
I decided to work as a casual cleaner at the university, where I earned a meager salary. It was not easy to balance my studies and my work, but I did not let that stop me. I worked hard, and graduated with a first class honors degree in actuarial science.
However, getting a degree was not enough to secure a job in Kenya. I applied for many jobs, but I was always rejected. I faced discrimination and corruption in the job market, and I was mocked by my peers and relatives for being a poor orphan.
They said that I was wasting my time and talent, and that I would never amount to anything. They said that I should give up on my dreams, and settle for a low-paying job.But I did not listen to them. I knew that there was a better future for me, and that I deserved a chance to prove myself. I decided to seek help from Mugwenu Doctors, a renowned herbalist and traditional healer in Kenya.
I had heard many testimonies of how he had helped people with various problems, such as love, money, health, and protection. I decided to give him a try, and I visited his office in Nairobi.ParentsA photo of a woman testifying during a church serviceI explained to him my situation, and he listened to me with compassion.
He told me that he could help me, and that he had a powerful marriage spell that could change my life. He said that the spell would attract a good partner for me, who would love me, support me, and help me achieve my goals.
He said that the spell would also boost my luck, and open doors for me in the job market. He said that the spell would work within 14 days, and that I would see the results.I agreed to try the spell, and he performed a ritual for me. He gave me some herbs and instructions to follow, and he assured me that everything would be fine. I thanked him, and left his office with hope and faith.
To my surprise, the spell worked faster than I expected. Within a week, I met a beautiful lady, who was also an actuary. She worked at the City Hall, and she was looking for a partner. We clicked instantly, and we started dating. She was kind, generous, and supportive.
She helped me with my job applications, and introduced me to some influential people in her network. She also invited me to move in with her in her house in Karen, a posh suburb in Nairobi.Within another week, I received a call from the City Hall, inviting me for an interview. I was shocked, and I wondered how they got my CV. I later learned that my girlfriend had recommended me for a vacant position in the actuarial department. I went for the interview, and I aced it. I was offered the job, and I accepted it. I was over the moon, and I thanked Mugwenu Doctors for his help.
My life changed dramatically, and I was happy. I had a good job, a good partner, and a good home. I had achieved my dream of becoming an actuary, and I had made my parents proud. I was no longer a poor orphan, but a successful professional.
However, not everyone was happy for me. Some of the people who had mocked me and looked down on me, started to beg me for favors. They wanted me to help them with money, jobs, or connections. They wanted me to forgive them, and to accept them back in my life. They said that they were sorry, and that they had changed.
But I did not trust them. I knew that they were only after my money, and that they did not care about me. I knew that they were only jealous of me, and that they wanted to bring me down. I knew that they had not changed, and that they would hurt me again.
So I refused to help them, and I cut them off from my life. I decided to focus on my happiness, and to surround myself with positive people. I decided to cherish my partner, and to plan for our future. I decided to enjoy my success, and to share it with those who deserved it.
I am Godfrey Mwania, and this is my story. I hope that it has inspired you, and that it has shown you that anything is possible. I hope that it has taught you to never give up on your dreams, no matter how hard life gets. I hope that it has also taught you to be careful of who you trust, and who you let into your life. I hope that it has made you think, and that it has made you happy.
