My brother Caleb Omondi has already attempted suicide three times since the turn of the year. The most recent of those, is when his young son saw him hanging in his bedroom, legs kicking and eyes engorged in pain. He screamed in terror as I ran in just in time before he could kick the bucket. He had to be hospitalized for almost a week to recover.
He has also previously drank poison, rat poison at night. Luckily for him, his wife, Nanjala Wekesa Omondi, found him on the floor, his mouth foaming and unconscious.
She gave him a pint of milk and called in a nurse, who lives a block away. The world was telling him to continue living, but my brother seemed determined to join his forefathers six feet under.
Caleb is not exactly young. At 47 years, he had already seen his fair share of torment. He lost his job three years ago as an Administrative Police (AP) after being framed in a robbery incident in Nairobi.
He fought hard to prove his innocence, but ended up losing his job and his pension. As a result, problems found a loophole in his life and kept coming in through the backdoor.
To keep the family afloat, his wife Nanjala secretly joined the nightly ladies issuing bodily pleasures at Koinange Street at night. His first born daughter Pamela dropped out of high school and joined her mother soon after.
By the time Caleb found out that they were both Prostitutes, and
not the cleaning ladies in Karen as they initially claimed, it was too late.
It was also around that time when he made his first attempt at taking his own life. As his only brother, I worry for him. He has lost weight, lost appetite and a lot of the self-esteem and self-worth I used to like about him.
He barely speaks to anyone, spends most of his days either at the bar or at a local Gambling shop to play Virtual games, which he loses every time.
His future has been reduced to sulking in silence and wishing for a
lightning bolt to hit him. I've had to try all kinds of mechanisms to help him,
including prayers and counselling, but he seemed to be getting worse.
When I saw on Vipasho.co.ke, a reliable news feed online about the services of a traditional herbalist called Dr. Mugwenu, I contacted him immediately for an alternative solution.
A short conversation revealed a professional herbal doctor with decades of experience. Using traditional herbs and concoctions, specifically prepared to help Caleb and a Unique Spiritual Cleansing Ritual, I knew he would get healed.
And he was. Within a few days, he got a job offer in a Private Company that was hiring former members of Security agencies.
His mood lightened up. Being able to provide for his family, his wife and daughter quit Prostitution and started a small business outside the house selling Fresh Fish from the Lake Victoria.
Thanks to Dr. Mugwenu, he stopped thinking about his
problems, about ending his life and became an optimistic father ready to live a
promising, meaningful life full of prosperity and abundance.
